Wings of Wellington.

We are a group of model enthusiasts in the Annapolis Valley area. .

We operate a flying site located in the Village of New MInas. Our members are involved in all aspects of remote modeling including power, gliders, and helicopters. Regular Membership in The Wings of Wellington is currently around 25 members and we encourage anyone interested in taking up the hobby, or if you are moving into the area and hold a MAAC membership, to contact our Membership Chairperson. Club photos and videos can be seen on a regular basis on the Facebook Link. Never flown before? Not a problem. Membership in a MAAC Charter Club is the best place to learn the basics. We have qualified Instructors willing to teach anyone with a sincere interest in taking up the hobby!

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone (members, guests and visitors) must hold a valid MAAC Membership to fly at our field.

The Club meeting dates for the upcoming year are February the 7th , April 11th and June the 13th..

Village of New Minas

New Minas is a thriving village, home to over 4000 residents located in the Annapolis Valley between Kentville and Wolfville.

The Village was incorporated on September 1, 1968 under the administration of an elected village commission; the form of government that continues to govern to this day. The Village is a good place to live, a great place to work, and offers a number of places to play and enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the Annapolis Valley. We take pride in our parks located throughout New Minas and we are equally proud of our ever expanding business community. For businesses thinking about locating in our Village, New Minas is a perfect choice as the 'Shopping Centre of the Valley' attracts visitors from near & far. If you are thinking about visiting or living in the Village of New Minas, we are confident that you will find our hospitality, our service, and our residents welcoming and happy to have you! .

Model Aeronautics Association of Canada

In 1949, a group of 11 very enthusiastic modellers assembled to form an organization for those interested in model aviation.

Their vision was for an association to officially represent the aircraft modeling fraternity in Canada. Today, the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada has grown from that group of 11 to a body of Canadian modelers over 13,000 strong, representing all facets of this exciting hobby, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. In 1995 we were proud to have inducted these 11 founding members into our MAAC Hall of Fame.

The Model Aeronautics Association of Canada is the Official Governing Body for Model Aviation in Canada, acting as a liason to government agencies, such as Industry Canada (formerly Department of Communications) with regard to radio frequencies and their use in radio controlled models, as well as representing our internationally competitive modelers to the Fédération Aéronautique International (FAI) through the Aero Club of Canada. MAAC also provides liability insurance to its members and chartered clubs, among many other membership benefits.
